How enchanting are the lines that line each of these pages. In them are sages filled with wisdom, fire, candor, ire, affection, reflection and so much more. How liberating are the pens that ink these narratives. Interrogatives and declaratives that insist, inquire, challenge and require contemplation of what we hold to be true. How powerful are the thoughts that precede these conclusions. Dismantling illusions, unsettling delusions that should not be accepted nor etched into the minds of societies. How rewarding are the efforts grounded in serenity embracing the affinity for capturing the heart with the essence of art. Words that sing our most beautiful songs.
I love this poem and the way it plays with language in each stanza. I love how it acknowledges the power of language and words to shape so much of our lives.

Carla,
Your poem is fabulous. I love the internal rhyme, the repetition of “How” and its declarations, the celebration of art and wisdom w/in our blogging community. I loved meeting you and hearing your voice and finding a kindred spirit in our writing philosophies this morning via Zoom.

This was so fun to write – and I felt pushed in the best of ways to be unrestricted in my thinking! I wanted to do something different, but I felt compelled to capture my feelings for writing in its art and as you noted, with the community in mind. This morning’s Zoom was just the icing on the cake. I felt like it brought my sentiments full circle.
It was such a pleasure to dialogue with all of you! The like-mindedness felt ethereal. It is a treasure I won’t soon forget. Thank you so much for sharing. Kindred, indeed!

Please note that I am officially floating in the clouds on that remark! #sigh I so miss the immediate feedback that we get on our writing here. I often question how come I don’t do better about writing more often.
Nevertheless, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Try, I will. Thank you so much for reading, Book Dragon. Your affirmations reach farther than you will ever know…

Carla, you are a gem! I think you could sing this poem, and I would love to hear it. You said something about how you are inspired to write by all the other blog posts your read this month, and this poem seems to pay tribute to all those writings. It is beautiful, and the rhyming is magical. It was great to see you this morning at the meet up!
